A Christmas gift for your wife or girlfriend: a leather bag at four budgets
A leather bag makes a good Christmas gift for your wife or girlfriend if you choose it by what she carries every day and set a budget first. Under €300 you can give a small crossbody bag, a pouch or a belt; up to €450, an everyday bag or a large clutch; up to €550, a baguette bag or a work tote; above that, a bag with a strong, architectural shape. If you are unsure, give a gift card. The bag can be returned within 30 days of delivery.
The prices below are poelle.eu prices for November 2026. They include VAT and all duties, and delivery is free. For each model we say what fits inside, because that tells you more about a bag than a photo.
Before you choose: three questions
What does she carry? A laptop and papers mean a tote; a wallet and a make-up bag mean a medium bag; a phone and keys mean a small one.
How does she carry it? In the hand, on the shoulder or across the body, hands free. The bag she carries now is your hint.

Under €300: a small bag, a pouch, a belt
Sophie Small is a miniature box of 13.5 × 10 × 6 cm on a strap adjustable from 60 to 126 cm. It holds a card case, keys, a lipstick and earbuds; a large phone may not fit. It costs €220 in smooth leather and €250 in caramel or navy blue suede.
Sophie Medium, 20 × 11 × 8 cm, also takes a phone. It is carried in the hand or on the shoulder, on a strap of 32–65 cm, and costs €250 in smooth leather.
Cleo, 25 × 10.5 × 7 cm, is a crossbody bag on a long strap (123–148 cm) that holds a phone, a card case, keys, a lipstick and sunglasses. It costs €250 in black or brown leather and €290 in caramel suede.
For St Nicholas’ Day on 6 December, or as a second, smaller gift, choose something without a size: the Make-up Pouch in eco-leather for €200 or in milky cotton for €140, the slim Diane leather belt for €130 or the Mark belt from €180 (see belts).
Up to €450: an everyday bag and a large clutch
Britni is a flat baguette bag of 28 × 12 × 5 cm worn on the shoulder, with a draped strap held by a slim metal plate. It holds a phone, a card case, keys, powder and a lipstick. It costs €390 and comes in black, brown, marsala, milky and butter yellow.
The Jane Tote, €420, is a tote of 48 × 27 × 15 cm for a laptop up to 14 inches. It weighs 700 g, 550 g less than Carolyn Medium.
Josefine in smooth leather costs €430. It is a soft hobo bag, 30 cm wide and 20 cm high, with a V-shaped zipped top, carried in the hand or in the crook of the arm.
The Elza Clutch is a large, soft clutch: 43 × 25 × 15 cm unfolded. It holds a phone, a wallet, keys, a make-up bag and sunglasses, so it can replace a handbag by day and go out to dinner in the evening. It costs €440 in black, brown or marsala leather and €460 in suede.
In this budget there are also Josy, a small black zipped crossbody bag (€400), and Untitled Small, a trapezoid with a flap and a slim handle (€450).
Up to €550: a baguette bag, suede and a work tote
Cecilie is a long baguette bag of 33 × 14 × 9 cm with tall, rounded handles: on the shoulder by day, in the hand in the evening. It costs €490 in smooth leather and €530 in caramel, choco or navy blue suede.
Carolyn Medium, 40 × 26 × 14 cm, is a tote with straight sides and a dense eco-leather lining that holds its shape. It takes a 13-inch laptop; it is too small for a 15-inch one. It costs €530 in leather and €550 in suede.
In the same range are Josefine in suede (€480), Untitled Medium, Bell Maxi and the dome-shaped Queen (€490 each), and the suede Debut top-handle bag in choco (€500).
Above €550: a shape you notice from across the room
Object №03 is a trapezoid with a short, rounded handle. Small, 22.5 × 15 × 10.5 cm, and Medium, 33.5 × 21.5 × 13 cm, also come with a strap of up to 140 cm, so they can be carried in the hand or across the body. Small costs from €710, Medium from €750, and Large, 44 × 27 × 12 cm, worn on the shoulder, from €790.
Carolyn Large, 50 × 30 × 19 cm, takes a 16-inch laptop and costs €590. The suede Prima, with its wavy top line, costs €560 in Mini and €630 in Large.
A gift card: when you don’t know the size or color
The Poelle gift card comes in €100, €200, €500 or €1,000. It is digital and arrives by e-mail right after purchase, so it is on time even on Christmas Eve. It has no expiry date, and the balance can be used across several orders. She chooses the bag herself, after the holidays if she likes.
Delivery before Christmas, the box and returns
Delivery is free. Bags from our warehouse in Poland arrive in 1–2 business days within Poland and in 1–3 business days elsewhere in the EU; bags from the atelier in Ukraine take 5–7 business days. Made-to-order bags take 10–15 business days, plus delivery. The product page shows the timing for the color you choose.
Every bag arrives in a Poelle box: in tissue paper, tied with a ribbon, in a fabric dust bag, with a tag and a care card. You can send the parcel straight to her — we never put a receipt or an invoice with a price inside.
You have 30 days from delivery to return it. The first 14 days are the statutory right of withdrawal; from day 15 to day 30 the bag should be unused, with its dust bag, box and tags. Details are in our returns policy.
Every Poelle bag is made from the first cut to the last stitch in our own atelier in Horodok, Ukraine.

Can she exchange the bag?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery. The quickest way is to return it and place a new order. She can arrange the return herself.
