Color Field — Poelle's collection inspired by abstract expressionism and color field painting

Color Field is a Poelle collection in which color takes center stage and becomes a separate language—just like in Color Field painting and Abstract Expressionism after World War II. It is precisely from this artistic movement, with its idea of freedom through color, dynamic "brushstrokes," and tonal harmony, that the story of handbags that do not need a logo to attract attention emerges. Instead of illustrative motifs, we have broad "patches" of intense hues juxtaposed with simple, sculptural forms.
One of the main reference points for the collection is the work of Mark Rothko and other Color Field painters, who removed figures and narratives from their paintings, leaving pure relationships between colors, space, and scale. Poelle's campaign and visual materials also feature references to Kazimir Malevich's Suprematist compositions—his 1915 "airplane flight" was one of the references in building the images for Color Field. Handbags from this collection are treated like objects that can be read as paintings: each shade and each line has its role in the composition.
The Color Field palette includes saturated, "uncompromising" colors: reds, lime greens, chocolate browns, deep blues, and softer, muted tones that engage in dialogue rather than compete. Unlike "safe" neutral palettes, this collection proposes color as a tool for expressing mood and personality—just as Color Field painting did, drawing the viewer deep into the surface of the painting. Poelle translates this idea to the level of an everyday object: handbags become private "canvases" that you carry with you.
The forms remain characteristically minimalist: these are shoppers, shoulder bags, baguettes, and models with architectural lines that you know well from other Poelle collections, but here they gain a new dimension thanks to bold color combinations. Each model is designed to combine functionality (well-thought-out interiors, comfortable straps, durable leather) with the visual power of color—these are accessories that can take on the role of the main accent in a very simple outfit. Thanks to this, Color Field will work well in the wardrobe of people who usually wear black and beige, as well as those who like to build their outfits around one strong shade.
Color Field in Poelle's interpretation is a manifesto: "color as freedom," "form as silence," "material as durability." If you are looking for a handbag that will act like a moving fragment of a painting—an intense splash of color that accompanies you at work, in the city, on your travels—choose a model from the Color Field collection, add it to your cart, and let it be your personal field of color in everyday life.
