Sophie in Ostrich Print — Embossed Leather Mini Bag

Sophie in Ostrich Print is an ostrich embossed leather bag shaped like a miniature box on a slender strap. The dark, almost black calf leather carries a raised pattern that recalls ostrich: from a distance the bag looks understated, up close the texture comes through. The gold-tone emblem on the flap deepens the tone. It suits evening black, a wool suit, ivory silk, or a simple white T-shirt that needs one interesting detail. A card holder, keys, lipstick and earphones — for dinner, the theatre or an exhibition opening. A large smartphone may not fit: Sophie is a small leather bag for the essentials. The strap adjusts from 60 to 126 cm, so you can wear it on the shoulder or across the body as a mini crossbody bag.

Care for embossed leather

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and avoid brushing the raised texture; protect it from rain and direct sun. Every few months, apply a thin layer of colourless leather cream. Store it in its dust bag with paper inside.

Where it is made

Each Sophie is made in POELLE's own atelier in the Lviv region of Ukraine, from the first cut to the last stitch. POELLE is a Ukrainian handbag brand working in genuine leather and suede.
